Who were the Nephilim?

NEPHILIM

Just who were the nephilim? This is a passage of scripture that has been taught differently from many pulpits. A very popular teaching is that the nephilim are the offspring between fallen angels and human women. Could the nephilim be the offspring that stems from fallen angels mating with humans?

Well let’s first look at scripture and scripture alone to navigate this topic. The word “naphiyl” first appears in Genesis chapter six where we see events unfolding just prior to the flood. This word is simply translated into the English word “Giants”. The first six verses of this chapter are where the confusion begins amongst the different beliefs. Mind you, the confusion is not in the scripture, but rather the confusion comes from the different readers who attempt to read this passage and do not read the passage in its entire context of the bible itself.

GENESIS 6:1-6 KJV  1And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Lets first look at the single line that is used to imply “Fallen Angels” In Genesis 6:2 we see the phrase “Sons of God” This line alone is what is being considered by some to mean “Fallen Angels”. Why? It’s mainly because of the book of Job. In Job 1:6 the same phrase “Sons of God” is used and here it is referring to angels. But does this mean that we can assume that the phrase “Sons of God “ in Genesis 6 is also referring to angels? Well to believe that it does goes against Matthew 22:30.

MATTHEW 22:30 KJV “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven”.

What does this mean? Well lets look at Genesis 6 in light of Matthew 22:30.   Could the “Sons of God” be fallen Angels? Well first of all it makes no sense to call a fallen angel a “Son” of God. More importantly it goes against scripture to believe that this passage could be talking about any angel whether they are fallen or not. Why? Well first of all this passage does not just imply mating with women, but it downright says that they made them their “WIVES” Angels do not marry and are not given in marriage.

We need to be realistic and ask ourselves…”Is it possible for an angel to mate and breed with a human” After reading my bible, I have to say no. Why? Humans are the only creation made in Gods image. The angels are not made in Gods image. What does this mean? Humans are the only trinal creation from the Hand of God. We alone have a spirit, soul and body. Angels do not have bodies. They can take on the “APPEARANCE” of a human, but they still have no body. God is a God of order. God clearly has shown us in his creation, that he creates things to bring forth after their own kind. Fish don’t cross breed with birds. Angels don’t crossbreed with humans.

Jesus in Matthew 5:9 refers to us as children of God. Paul in Romans 8:14, 8:19 and Galatians 3:26 refers to the sons and or children of God as humans.

So if we established who the nephilim are not, then who were the nephilim? The sons of God were men who took wives from the daughters of men. The nephilim by Hebrew definition were really only large men. Their very name actually implies that they were tyrants and bullies and not half-breed offspring between Fallen angels and mankind.

There are those who will still be passionate and claim that the earth was destroyed in part because the nephilim were created. This is a foolish belief as God is clear that it was man and man alone that had caused God to bring destruction to the earth by way of the flood. To believe that the flood was also meant to destroy the nephilim because they were the offspring from fallen angels mating with women means you have to explain why there were eventually nephilim after to flood as well (Numbers 13:33).

I know some teach that the nephilim were aliens from another world, but I thought it best not to dwell on absurdities.

Handling Catholicism

Catholics             Catholicism is something that needs to be viewed on many different levels. The first thing that a true bible believing Christians needs to do is to always make sure that you differentiate between the Catholicism the religion and the Catholic themselves. They are two separate things. The Catholic is the believer; Catholicism is what the Catholic believes.

We then need to realize that there are two different categories of Catholic believers. They can be categorized as the Leaders and the Congregational followers.

Why is it important to make sure that we see the religion separate from the people of the religion? Why is it important to then categorize the Catholic believers into two separate groups? Because as true bible believing Christians we have an obligation to address each of these categories for what they truly are. It is actually unbiblical to remain quiet in the face of false doctrines just because we are afraid that we will offend people. Read your bible, It’s full of people who got offended because of others sharing the truth.

First and foremost I want to say that before I move on, if anyone feels right now that they want to passionately defend the Catholic Church, then I hope you are prepared with true biblical scripture to back yourself. No true bible believing Christian will accept anything less when debating about what is and what is not “Sound Doctrine”

Okay first off we have the religion itself. I have heard so many say that Catholicism the oldest denomination around. I have heard many say that the Catholic Church is the first church. Well let’s look at how that lines up with facts and bible history. First of all the word denomination means nothing in this argument. The word denomination never appears in scripture. But what does scripture say? 1 CORINTHIANS 1:10-13 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? “  So what about the first church being the Catholic Church? Well history does not tell us that. The story of the Catholic Church being the first church is a story told only by the Catholic Church. If you believe it is true, it is only because you choose to believe it and not because history declares it.

The Catholic Religion is a denomination of Christianity that is strongly separated from the Protestant denominations of Christianity. Why? Because it is no secret that the Catholic Church holds many doctrines that either is not found in the bible, or they downright go against the bible. It has been my experience that when dealing with devout Catholics that they regard their catechism to be as holy or maybe even more holy than the bible. To the false doctrines that come from this religion we as true bible believers have an obligation to rebuke and reprove false soul damaging doctrines.

So what about the people themselves of the Catholic religion? Lets look at the leaders of the Catholic Church. These leaders Stem from a simple church priest all the way up to the Pope himself. Why do we separate these leaders apart from their congregational followers? Because, these leaders are the ones who are responsible for spreading the denominational doctrine. These are the leaders in the church that are leading so many astray from Gods pure truth. Many of these leaders are in danger of Hell fire and they don’t even know it. They sincerely believe what they teach because it’s what was taught to them. Even if it goes against true scripture many Catholic leaders will teach it as biblical doctrine. I don’t care what denomination you adhere to, if you’re teaching a false doctrine as a biblical truth, you are in serious danger. I’ll be honest with you, if anyone teaches a false doctrine passionately; I call their salvation into question. Why? Because how can someone be in great error if they have an active relationship with Jesus Christ? I personally have believed wrong things, but I have allowed true scripture to change my mind. Never be afraid to take a stand against any false doctrine.

So that leaves us with the congregational followers. These are a whole different category. I will be perfectly honest; I personally have never met a Congregational Catholic who has ever read the bible in any great length. Almost every Catholic that I know believes what was taught to them from a parent or priest or something along those lines.   These are the ones that we see most often. We work along side of them; we see them in school or other places outside of church. These are the ones that have been poisoned. If you refuse to witness to Catholics around you because you believe that we all worship the same God, then consider this….Every Catholic that you don’t share true scripture with is a person that you have allowed to believe they are saved and are going to heaven and they never knew that a relationship with Christ is key to our salvation. They are not taught that Jesus is the only mediator between man and God. It is no secret that they have elevated Mary and others above the status that God himself has given them. The Catholics attempt to talk to Mary or supposed dead saints when they should be going to the Father or Jesus himself in prayer. Jesus said Pray in this fashion……”Our FATHER” who art in heaven. Jesus said, “Whatsoever you ask in MY NAME”   I fail to see where Mary or dead saints have a part in this.

The important thing here to remember is that when sharing the truth of the scriptures and when sharing who Jesus really is with a Catholic, you need to not forget that they have been indoctrinated to their beliefs for a long time. When sharing the true Gospel with a Catholic it is important to make sure that you are walking in Gods might. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead. And remember rejection doesn’t mean that a seed wasn’t planted. Don’t compromise truth, but the love of God is essential.

Tell Me Again Why God Had No Respect For Cain’s Offering?

Cain & Abel

The names of Cain and Abel are two very popular names when it comes to famous people in the bible. Famous and yet they only appeared for a brief moment in the fourth chapter of the book of Genesis.

So then we must know that there is something very important to be found in their story. Why else would God have even mentioned the two of them? Especially since the lineage to Christ is through Seth and not Cain or Abel.

The story in a nutshell is that Cain was a tiller of the land and Abel was a keeper of sheep. They each brought an offering to the Lord and God had respect for Abel’s offering and no respect for Cain’s offering. Cain was very angry, angry enough that he eventually killed his brother Abel over the whole ordeal.

The basic understanding of what happened is easily understood, but the question that arises and then turns to debate is “Why did God have respect for Abel’s offering and not for Cain’s?”

Well let’s first look at the most popular answers that I see most often. Some teach that Abel’s offering was respected because it was a fine quality offering from the first-born. And that Cain’s offering was of poor quality. While others teach that Abel’s offering was a living sacrifice that involved the shedding of blood whereas Cain’s did not.

So which is it? Are any of these the correct answer? Lets see if the bible supports any of these. Genesis 4:4 does indeed say that Abel’s offering was a fine quality animal from the first born. However even though it never says that Cain’s was from the first fruits of the ground, the bible never says that his offering was of poor quality. In fact Paul says in Hebrews 11:4 that both offerings were excellent, only that Abel’s was more excellent. If Cain’s offering was of poor quality then Paul would not have declared Abel’s offering to be “MORE” excellent in comparison. So the idea that God had no respect for Cain’s offering because of poor quality really is not supported by scripture.

So what about the blood offering versus the non-blood offering? We have to first realize that Genesis chapter four never gives a reason as to why they were making the offering. We learn later in books like Leviticus that both kinds of offerings are acceptable when offered properly. So we cannot say that the blood versus non-blood is really an issue because scripture never offers anything to support this.

So what then could have made the difference between the two offerings that made one of the offerings worthy in the eyes of The Lord and not the other? Before we address that, I would like to point out that the Hebrew word used in Genesis chapter four for the word respect is the Hebrew word “shoe” pronounced sha’ah. This word means much more than the English meaning of the word respect. “Sha’ah means to have a sense of amazement or to cause one to look with deep consideration.   Basically Abel’s offering really caught The Lord’s attention whereas Cain’s did not. Why?

Although Genesis Chapter four doesn’t seem to be very clear as to why, the apostle Paul however was very clear. Both Cain and Abel had prepared their offerings properly, but Abel added something to the mix that Cain did not.

Paul says in Hebrews 11:4 that the thing that made Abel’s offering more excellent than Cain’s was because Abel gave his offering by “FAITH” .

We know that without faith it is impossible to please God. No matter how well prepared your offering is, it’s worthless if it is not accompanied by faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. Cain carried none of this in his heart when he brought his offering. Cain was just going through the motions.

Cain’s actions are considered to be evil. Jude 1:4-11 tells us that we have ungodly people in the church who have crept in and are turning the grace of God into filth while denying the one true God and Lord Jesus Christ.   Later on in this same chapter in verse eleven Jude says of these men “Woe unto them! For they have gone the way of Cain.

The story of Cain and Abel was not just meant to show us how powerful faith can be, but to realize how much faith means to Our Father in Heaven.

Death Before The Fall Of Man?

Eat The Apple

As a bible-believing creationist it is not uncommon for me to be asked the occasional question that is intended to trip me up. The opposition many times seems to think that they have a firm grasp on scripture, but often the questions that are asked in trickery are accompanied by built in faulty assumptions.

As a bible believing Christian I obviously believe that death did not exist until man sinned.

ROMANS 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: “

1 CORINTHIANS 15:21 “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.”

The first death and sacrifice are found in Genesis 3:21 “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.”

Prior to this death did not exist in the world. So a question that is thrown my way occasionally is this “If you don’t believe that death existed prior to the fall of mankind, then what about the vegetation and fruit that was eaten by Adam, Eve and the animals?” I also would like to add that those who ask this question tend to ask in a smug way because they think that they have got me in a corner.

So what’s the answer? Obviously they are referring to the vegetation dying as it is picked chewed and consumed. Well like I said earlier here is another question with a built in faulty assumption. Those who don’t accept the bible usually lean on the alternative and that is simply to follow man. It’s the same thing as the story of Jonah. Was it a whale or a fish? Well obviously it was probably a type of whale. Only by today’s standards do we not classify the whale as a fish. We cannot apply today’s scientific method of classification to writings that span thousands of years. Obviously to those in Jonas day, a whale was considered to be a fish. But lets get back on track.

The faulty built in assumption in this question is based upon the idea that vegetation is a living thing anyways.   By today’s scientific standards of observation and classification, vegetation is considered to be a living thing. But does the Creator Himself consider vegetation to be a living thing?

Scripture clearly teaches that vegetation is not alive. Most directly GENESIS 9:3 God Himself says to Noah and his sons “Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.”   God is clearly telling Noah and his sons that they can now eat meat from living animals for food just like the vegetation that they have already been eating for food.

LEVITICUS 17:11 says” For the life of the flesh is in the blood:…” It is quite obvious that vegetation does not have blood. Vegetation relies on chlorophyll.

So the idea of death not existing before the fall of man remains intact. Vegetation grows and is self-replicating. Today we consider these to be traits that classify things as living. But our ways are not Gods ways.

Consider this. If vegetation were not self-replicating, then mankind would not survive. We rely on vegetation for food, or we rely on the meat from an animal that relies on vegetation for survival.

So is vegetation alive? No. Vegetation is a self-replicating source of food and beauty created by an infinite mind. Consider that in scripture when a man or animal dies, the bible declares that they have died. Vegetation never dies in scripture, it withers.

Just How Long Did Creation Take Anyways?

Creation

How long did creation actually take?

I am often asked this very question. Most who ask this question are not asking me because they want to truly know, most ask me because they enjoy debating for some reason.

Why is this important? Well because it is one of the matters at the heart of the “evolution versus creation” debate. The magic potion that tries to make evolution a success is the need for a long time span. Without having the earth be 4.5 billion years old, as most evolutionist teach, just about all of their theories collapse.

If one were to read the bible without ever hearing about the theory of evolution, this one person would not come to a conclusion of evolution on any level, because scripture never even remotely references it. Things like Gap Theories and a pre-existent earth are not biblical. However this article is not here to go in deep and debate evolution as a whole. We just want to answer the simple question of how long creation itself took.

Using scripture in its proper context to guide us of course can very easily clear up the answer.

Some claim that we cannot be sure how long creation took. The literal translation speaks of a six-day creation, but then the debate begins as to how long an actual day of creation was. Well let’s look at a few facts that we know from scripture itself.

Each day of creation always ends by telling us that each day consisted of just one morning and one evening. The Hebrew words here are boqer for morning and ‘eber for evening. This is not a vague ambiguous statement. We clearly have our answer here by realizing that the Good Lord made sure to inform us that each day of creation consisted of just one morning and one evening. To believe anything else, you would have to include multiple mornings and multiple evenings.

Why such a debate then if we can easily see what is written in scripture itself? Well the problem is that there are two other verses that are grossly misused and then those who misuse and misunderstand them try to make the entire book of Genesis conform.

The first verse 2 PETER 3:8 “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” Many try to imply that the days in Genesis were God days so each day really consisted of a thousand years. This then stretches to others who believe that they are even longer periods of time. Nothing in scripture supports this, but here we are anyways. This verse uses the word “AS”. This word is not a message that says they are the same. It is a word that implies similarities. This verse references the fleeting time of man versus our infinite God. When this verse is read in its entire context we can easily see that 2 Peter 3:8 is referencing that man is affected by time and God is not. The entire chapter deals with God referencing the time that we live in from creation itself to the world being destroyed by the flood, to the future when the earth will once again be destroyed by fire.

The second verse PSALM 90:4 “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.” There are those who feel that this verse lends credibility to their misguided belief in 2 Peter 3:8. What’s the problem? The problem is that this entire chapter in Psalms is credited as a prayer of Moses in a book of the bible that is categorized as poetic. Those who subscribe to the belief that each day of creation is really a thousand years is then molding the entire book of Genesis into a book of poetry and symbolism rather than the true history book that it is. Then the poison is spread.

Nothing in scripture implies or tells us that creation lasted any longer than six literal days. God is not bound by time and time did not exist until God created it for us in Genesis Chapter one Verse one, “IN THE BEGINNING….”. The bible is full of symbolism and the bible is full of things to be taken as literal. A good student of scripture can discern the difference. Those who want to manipulate scripture and view it from a view point that supports evolution only do so because they have already pre-supposed in their hearts that evolution is true.

Is Baptism Necessary For Salvation

Baptism

I am baffled how so many self-proclaiming Christians can believe in false doctrine. I understand that some scripture requires deeper thought and studying than others. With true studying, how is it that these false doctrines manage to still exist in the church?

I know that in most cases, it’s because the believer of the false doctrine has been wrongly taught this false doctrine with colorful words and misinterpreted verses. Which ultimately means that they didn’t read scripture for themselves, they only relied on someone else’s teachings.

I of course am referring to the extremely destructive teaching that says baptism is a requirement for salvation. I want to touch upon the two most common verses that are thrown in my face when I take a stand against this false teaching.

The First Verse Is: 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

This verse is so misused. The only way that this verse could be misunderstood is by skimming it and not reading it word for word in its context. 1 Peter 3:21 tells us that baptism is a “TYPE” or “SYMBOL” of our salvation. As one is immersed into the water it is not about an outward cleaning of the flesh as the water covers you, but rather it is about an inward cleaning and bringing of peace, which gives us a good and clear conscience as we come before God. Because in your baptism you are demonstrating who you have become through the resurrection of Jesus Christ and you are acknowledging your commitment to follow Him.

The Second Verse Is: Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.   I am told that this verse is claiming that we need to be baptized for the remission of our sins. What is this verse really saying? Do you know that most of these problems rise due to people taking their bibles strictly at face value of the English language? In Acts 2:38 the key word here is “IN” the Greek word being used here is “EIS” (pronounced “ICE”). This is a word that is used to identify with something. This verse is not telling us to be baptized to obtain remission of our sins. This verse is telling us that our baptism, which is an outward appearance, will identify us with Jesus. How can we know this for sure? Well any true Christian knows that doctrine is not built on a single verse of scripture by itself. Read 1 Corinthians 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;. No one was baptized in Moses. In this verse the word “UNTO” in English is the same Greek word “EIS” again.   Clearly Moses was just a man of God and not any form of deity. Nobody was being baptized in the name of Moses. In this verse the people were spiritually identifying themselves with the vision of Moses just as our baptism identifies us with our savior Jesus Christ.

The only requirement for true salvation is Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Why do Christians claim to be forgiven and yet still continue to ask for forgiveness on a daily basis?

forgiveness

Why do we claim to be forgiven, if we still continue to ask for forgiveness on a daily basis?

What an awesome question. So lets find an awesome answer.

As with all things lets only use scripture to find our answer. First of all we know that Christ gave us a model to use to help structure our prayer life in Matthew 6:10-13. We call it the “Lord’s Prayer”.  Immediately following this Jesus makes a statement that has confused so many.   Jesus made it clear that if we don’t forgive, then we ourselves will not be forgiven by the Father and if we do forgive, then we will be forgiven.

The question then comes up “How is it that God will not forgive us if scripture says that He has already forgiven those who are truly in Christ?”

Well, are we truly forgiven of all of our sins in Christ? Are all of our sins of the past, present and future actually forgiven? Of course they are.

Acts 5:31 says that God exalted Christ to give forgiveness of sins. Ephesians 1:7 declares that in Christ we “HAVE” forgiveness, it doesn’t say that we are working towards obtaining forgiveness. Ephesians 1:4 declares that God had chosen us before the foundations of the world that we should be Holy and blameless before Him in love. Obviously we must be completely forgiven to be able to stand blameless before such a pure and holy God. Colossians 1:4 declares that we have forgiveness in Christ. Ephesians 4:32 declares that because of Christ, God “HAS” forgiven us.

Nothing in scripture declares that our eternal forgiveness has to be renewed on a daily basis. Nothing in scripture declares that our forgiveness can be lost and has to be re-attained.

So what does it mean that God will not forgive us if we do not forgive those who trespass against us?

Positionally in Christ our sins are forever forgiven. The judgment that should rightfully accompany us in eternity has been satisfied and the price has been forever paid. Our sins truly are forgiven, but as we walk here on earth we still have to deal with our sins of the present and our sins of the future as they come. Our current sins and future sins do not in any way take away from our eternal forgiveness.   However we do still live in the here and now and we do still sin. When we sin and ask for forgiveness, we are not reaffirming our salvation. We are removing a hindrance that has manifested in our relationship with God.  Adam use to walk with God on a daily basis.  But on that day when Adam had sinned he hid himself from God.  Adam was ashamed; Adam had clearly done wrong against God.  This was a serious hindrance in their daily walk together.  Through Adams sin, the first animal sacrifice took place as God made clothing for Adam and Eve. Thus God began His Holy plan to reunite mankind back unto him self which was fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

When we sin we are in that sin and that sin is a hindrance in our daily walk with God. When we refuse to forgive we are walking in a sin of defiance.  Our hearts are not focused on walking in or with God.  When we refuse to forgive, we are not acting in accordance to the example that Christ set before us.  When we are quick to forgive, then we reflecting the nature of the God we proclaim to serve.

I am a father of three.  My children as with any children have done things in the past that has angered me.  These things have temporarily put a hindrance in our relationship. They have to be dealt with.  However through the entire hindrance, not once did they ever stop being my children.  This is our walk with God.

I want to end with this.   In the New Testament the words “forgiven and forgiveness”  only appear about 32 times. However the words “repent and repentance”  appear about 49 times. When we sin, we sin against God. We need to be ready to recognize this hindrance so it can be removed and our daily walk can resume in the direction that God is leading us. Our sins are eternally forgiven and true repentance helps us to blossom our walk with God and to keep the hindrances under control.

I’d Better Put My Tin Foil Hat On!

Tin Foil Hat

Am I a conspiracy nut who thinks that the government is spying on me and watching my every move? Is big brother out to get me?

Well honestly, I will admit that I don’t trust my government. I of course am speaking strictly as a Christian. Do I actually own a tin foil hat? No, but I should make one just for fun though.

Okay so lets not get off track. Where am I going with this?                     I want to suggest a theory.

I have been reading many articles here in the USA about how conservative leaders are taking a vocal stand against the liberal agendas, but the conservatives seem to lack in actually doing anything about it other than ranting. To this, I will agree.

So what is my theory? Well I have to first admit that it’s probably very likely that some of our conservative leaders are not taking action, because they really are not on our side. But my theory is that those conservative leaders who want to see America truly remain in the hands of the people and not in the hands of a tyrannical government bent on destroying moral values are standing still out of true honest fear.

What do I mean? (This is where we all must put on our tin foil hats now). I fully believe that this world is ran by a handful of multibillionaire bankers who have no doubt sold their souls to the devil. I don’t mean that these people have turned from Christ to follow their money. I fully mean that they have literally given themselves through full awareness to the Devil himself. They run and manipulate the world through their money. Even here in the USA we are not safe from this. After all when we raise the debt limit and borrow the money. Who do you think we are borrowing the money from? One day they’re going to want their money back. Yes I know that mainstream media paints those like me as conspiracy nuts who are trying to rock the boat and bring attention to ourselves. I fully believe that there is a strong chance that some of these conservative “Good Guys” may have been threatened in some to not rally the American people to unity against the actual unpopular liberal agendas. Hollywood, the media and the Government are the tools that these dark forces are using to navigate the entire world into a world of Godlessness and pure tyranny.

So to answer my first question, “Am I a conspiracy nut who thinks that the government is spying on me and watching my every move? Is big brother out to get me?”

Maybe, but as much as I am aware of what is going on around me, “Big Brother” is just a “STORM”. For it’s on Jesus that I am keeping my eyes. I don’t feel like sinking. However if they are watching my every move, especially here on the world wide web, I’d just like to take a second and say “Hi” and tell you “Jesus Loves You” and “I’d love to tell you about Him and what He has done for you.”

Why Am I Feeling This Way?

image

Recently I have been feeling extremely disconnected from the world around me.  It’s not that I am unaware of what is going on around me, it’s just that so much that use to be a part of my life no longer holds an interest for me.  In fact so much of it disgusts me.

As a Christian, of course I look forward to return of Jesus Christ.  More now than ever my spirit cries ” come quickly Lord! “.  I am deeply saddened by the atrocities that we see going on in the Middle East and other parts of the world, Christians dying for their faith.  Muslim hatred is spreading faster than wild fire.  I’m not discouraged, but still deeply saddened when I see what appears to be an Intentional governmental made doorway to allow these Muslim terrorists in my country.  The very terrorists who have vowed to come to my country and kill people like me.  I am not growing weary or discouraged, but I am feeling completely separated from the world around me.

Television is no longer safe.  For more now than ever Hollywood promotes more and more of the very things that come against my God and His Word.  Modern day music is not even safe as a whole.  Even in some churches true praise and worship music has been replaced with self inspirational music.  We sometimes sing Christian music that inspires us and call it praise and worship music.  There is a difference between “inspiring & motivational Christian music” and true “praise and worship music” that exalts and glorifies God.  Even our own education system has begun to betray us.

So why all of my disconnect?  Is there something wrong with me?  Why all of a sudden would I be wishing inside that Jesus would come back tomorrow?  Is it because I’m scared of the things that may come? No.  Is it because I’m just so fed up with the world around me? No.  For there is a lot of work to do before my time here on earth is not done.

The answer is very simple and yet so deeply true.  As I get closer to Jesus I get these feelings of disconnect because this world is not my permanent home.  As the ways of this world interest me less and less each day, my true self yearns more and more for the days to come of forever being with Him.

Not neglecting our work, we still have things to do.  The harvest is still plenty and we need to remember that the laborers are needed.

God bless you as you walk with Him this day

“SHAPE ME OH LORD”

I am excited abut the release of my newest Music Video. Its called "Shape Me Oh Lord"

I am excited to say that I just released my newest Music Video.  “Shape Me Oh Lord”. The song is about a person surrendering to God for the purpose of allowing God to mold them into the person that God has called them to be, With the ultimate goal of having the world see Jesus Christ through the new person they have become as they yielded to the Lord.  Through much research and tweaking we finally completed it.  We here at Sword Wielding Ministries hope that it blesses and encourages you.

God Bless You As You Walk With him This Day
